Making Of noon 2025

When we began designing the collection for noon we knew we had to take into consideration the cooler weather at the time of launch. This opened the door for us to play with heavier fabrics and new techniques we have never delved into before. We knew we wanted layering items- and so we began creating outerwear pieces to anchor the collection into the cooler weather space.

Our initial inspirations came from the beauty of the Mughal Miniatures that we have always ogled over and adored. From their mix of colors and prints and many layers- we knew we wanted to bring their collection to todays world.

The color scheme was extracted from old Orientalist oil paintings. We went for deluxe plum purples, elegant buttery yellows, royal blues, and strung them all together with gilded golds. We selected a liquidy gorgeous fabric called Gajji silk and where overjoyed to find that the block printing looks phenomenal on it. We also sourced a wintery cotton velvet that looked simply divine when we quilted it into stripes. Lastly, we layered masses of meters of organza for the more fanciful pieces.

From artisans who wove the fabrics, to the block printers who created the prints, to the tailors who did immaculate hand finishings on all the sleeves, and to the team who made it all happen. We are immensely proud of this collection and we know you all were too.
