Growing up I was obsessed with old movies, not black and white movies, but technicolor movies. The bright saturated colors drew me in. The colors used in our latest collection “Twist Me Dip Me Dye Me” reminded me of all these great bright movies.
Technicolor is a motion picture color process that was invented in 1916. It was widely used in Hollywood between 1922 and 1952 for its highly saturated color. In the beginning it was used for musicals and costume pictures, but eventually, it was used in more movies.
Watching these movies make me want to dive into the screen!
