The Multicolored Tulips

One of my favorite prints being developed for “Twist Me Dip Me Dye Me” is the tulip print.  It combines two of my favorite things: tulips and polka dots.

Tulips have a symbolic significance in different cultures throughout the world.   In the thirteenth century, the tulip was a popular subject in Persian poetry.  Eventually, tulips became popular garden plants in East and West.  In Turkish culture, it is a symbol of divine status and in the Netherlands the briefness of life.
